VisitShanklin.co.uk was created and is fully supported by Shanklin Hotel and Accommodation Association.
For over 70 years, since our association was first formed, we have continually striven to promote our
resort and our aim has always been to provide visitors with an efficient means to view, select and
investigate holidays at the traditional English seaside resort of Shanklin.
In the first quarter of the 20th Century the Victorians established Shanklin and the Isle of Wight
as one of the first English Resorts. Their willingness to take to the water in shallow skiffs, bathe
in the sea, or simply promenade along the seafront in elegant and beautiful victorian dress, started
the Great British Holiday that we still try to offer 100 years later.
We are now in a new century and every effort is made by all within the
Isle of Wight Tourism Industry
to offer our visitors a holiday worthy of this day and age, yet with the traditional values of the
Great British Holiday firmly in mind.
